Patrick Browne
Music Therapist
Growing up in Tipperary, contact sports like hurling, football, and soccer became challenging for me early on. It was then that I discovered the profound joy and beauty of music, both listening and playing. Music became more than just a hobby; it was a powerful tool that allowed me to process my emotions and provided a vital platform for social interaction and inclusion during my formative teenage years. I quickly recognized that music didn't just help me personally. I saw how it transcended boundaries for others, opened up difficult conversations, brought light where darkness flourished, and created a safe space for meaningful connections. In 2011, I pursued my passion further, completing a BA in Irish Music at the University of Limerick.
While I explored other career paths for a time, the desire to use music to help others, just as it had helped me, always stayed with me. By 2020, I made the clear decision to dedicate myself to this calling, embarking on a career as a music therapist, again at the University of Limerick. Upon completing my studies in 2022, I knew, without a doubt, that I had found my true calling.
At the core of my practice is person-centered care. This means you, the client, always come first. Your unique needs, wishes, and identity are not just catered for, but truly nurtured and fostered throughout our work together.
